Get to Know Alleluia!

We are a young, vibrant congregation that has been worshipping in the St. Michael community since 1998. At the end of March 2021 we moved into our newly built church home at 10401 30th St NE.

Worship services are primarily contemporary music, but include Lutheran liturgy, as well as some more traditional hymns on occasion. Worship services are currently held in-person and on-line via Facebook Live at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday.

Holy Communion is celebrated at every worship service as we come together to be fed so we can be strengthened for our work in the world. It is a gift given to us by Jesus Christ - all are welcome at the Lord’s Table. We have volunteers who bake the communion bread. The atmosphere is casual – feel free to come as you are.

Special Services are held throughout the year, including Thanksgiving Eve (6:30 p.m.), Christmas Eve (3PM & 5PM), Ash Wednesday and Wednesday Lenten services (6:30 p.m.), Maundy Thursday (6:30 p.m.)  and Good Friday (6:30 p.m.). Soup suppers are held beginning at 5:45 p.m. before the Lenten services.

Sunday School is held at the same time as worship from September – May. At Alleluia, however, we feel that children worshiping with their parents is incredibly important. So, children start out in worship with their families, then leave after the Children's Message to hear the story in an age-appropriate way as the adults hear a message geared toward them. Children return to worship by leading the congregation in giving their offering. Children hear the story in a way that is meaningful for them, but still spend most of their time in worship with the families -- which is the best way for children to learn about God's love for them and to grow in their faith.

Worship Team consists of singers and musicians who help to lead worship each week.  The group is directed by Mike Thorseth and they are always looking for people who want to share their musical gifts.

Serving others is an integral part of who we are – and it starts young. Sunday School children, Confirmation students, teens and adults all have many opportunities to serve in the church, community, and the world.

Check out all the opportunities to be involved in God’s work in the world through the ministries of Alleluia! And don’t hesitate to call or e-mail with any questions.
